Why you should hire a life coach and how it can help you and in what areas of your life. I will also explain the proven and researched benefits of Life-Coaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What is a life coach?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tonyrobbins.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tony Robins<\/a> site (the Master Guru of all Life coaching & personal development), the definition of a\u00a0<strong>life coach<\/strong> is someone professionally trained to help you maximize your full potential and reach your desired results<sup>1<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/coachingfederation.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ICF <\/a>( International Coach Federation) defines life coaching as \u201cpartnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A life coach encourages and counsels clients on a range of professional and personal issues. Life coaching is distinct from giving advice, consulting, counselling, mentoring and administering therapy. You hire a coach to help you with specific professional projects, personal goals and transitions in your life. When you need to move from a \u2018stuck\u2019 state to a state of movement, change and action, and are unable to do so on your own, \u00a0you would hire a life coach to help you with the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How can a life coach help?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A life coach can help a person to identify strengths, develop them, and identify personal and professional goals. The role of a coach is to assist the coachee throughout the change process<sup>2<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most important ways Life coaching can help:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Focus and strategic planning on Goal Setting.<\/strong> A coaching conversations help a person focus attention on their desired goals (Moore, Jackson, & Tschannen-Moren, 2016)<sup>3<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Self-Compassion & Personal Growth<\/strong>. The main foundation of a good coaching relationship is trust and authenticity. This allows for vulnerability. Coachees who open themselves to being vulnerable also can experience growth in self-compassion (Moore, et al., 2016)<sup>4<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Self-Awareness<\/strong>. Researcher Kristin Neff defines this as a combination of self-kindness, mindfulness, and a sense of common humanity (Neff, 2019)<sup> 5<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Increased problem-solving abilities<\/strong>. These answers to the problems you may be facing already exist with you, we merely help you to identify them and place them into action. In some settings, it has been said that the fact that you can identify a problem, already means that your brain knows the solution to that problem. During the coaching process, we guide our clients to find their own solutions for the problems that they are facing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em>What coaches are not: <\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Life Coaches do not have the answers.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Coaches allow the client to act autonomously \u2013 we will never tell you what to do or judge you for your past or current actions, we merely help you to find the answers for your selves by using certain techniques and questioning during the coaching process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Coaching is not Therapy.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The major difference between the two is that a therapist helps you gain insight into your past, whereas a life coach focuses on what you want for your future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Therapy focuses on mental health and your emotions on a deeper level; life coaching focuses on goals, actions and reaching the desired objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Therapy and healing are vital for anyone that may have suffered trauma, and should anyone have serious mental concerns or issues, I would strongly support and advise that they reach out to a medical professional for help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Life Coaches may never give advice,<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">have no view of your life, your experiences and your mind- that\u00a0is impossible, so life coaches may never give advice, as they are in no way YOU. We merely guide you through the process of finding solutions that speak to your core values, beliefs and aspirations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why should you hire a life coach?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Well due to the many benefits of Coaching, whether it is business executive or personal coaching provides several benefits some of them being:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A safe space for exploring options and growing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increased productivity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increased job satisfaction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increased Flexibility<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Better networking opportunities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Goal attainment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increased Clarity, focus and direction (personal or business).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strength\u2019s identification<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increased self-awareness<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Better work-life balance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improved self-confidence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The proven benefits of seeing a life coach:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There have also been studies that have shown that life coaching can be beneficial in a number of areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Goal Attainment<\/strong>. One study found that both individual and group coaching was helpful in reducing procrastination and improving goal attainment.<sup>6<\/sup><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Improved self-efficacy and self-empowerment<\/strong>, One review of studies found that health and wellness coaching showed promise for improving self-efficacy and self-empowerment.<sup>7<\/sup><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Improved Organisational Performance<\/strong> A 2020 study published in\u00a0<em>Frontiers in Psychology<\/em>\u00a0found that coaching-based leadership interventions could be effective for enhancing well-being and improving functioning within organizations.<sup>8<\/sup><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Improve self-reflection<\/strong> & Awareness. Research also suggests that life coaching can have a range of other positive effects, including improvements in personal insight and improved self-reflection. It may also help improve overall mental health and quality of life.<sup>9<\/sup><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reduced turnover.<\/strong> The number one benefit to companies is the effect coaching has on their bottom line. When employees receive coaching, they are more likely to remain in the company.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Conclusion:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The real purpose of life coaching is to assist the coachee to move from stagnation to growth. The coach does not establish the goals, or give the solutions; the coachee does. The coach helps shine a light on strengths that can help the person achieve their goals. Respect for the coachee\u2019s autonomy is crucial, we do not offer advice but merely act as a guide to the entire process, by asking thought-provoking questioning, reflection, and tools and techniques such as creative visualizations and NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming) techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2026and make new ones & keep meeting them constantly.
